The HW-S6800-IT-4E2F-L2+ is L2 full gigabit industrial Ethernet switches providing 4*10/100/1000Base-Tx electrical ports and 2*1000Base-X optical port. It supports abundant L2 features such as VLAN, RSTP, supports easy embedded Web management and third-party SNMP management. It has industrial metal case with IP40 protection class and meets EMC level 3 industrial requirements. It provides DIN rail mounting design and supports wide operating temperature range of -40 to the +75°C. These features make the product ideal for cost-effective applications that require high-reliability transmission, such as video surveillance, tolling systems, ITS, and factory automation.

The HW-S6800-IT-4E2F-L2+ features a strong dual power input system with wide-ranging voltages (12V~48V DC or 24V AC) incorporated into customer’s automation network to enhance system reliability and uptime. when power supply 1 fails to work, the hardware failover function will be activated automatically to keep powering the HW-S6800-IT-4E2F-L2+ via power supply 2 natively without any loss of operation.

The HW-S6800-IT-4E2F-L2+, incorporating advanced green networking technologies and and IEEE 802.3az protocol based power saving, is able to provide power saving up to 50% less energy but maintains high performance efficiently.

Plug and Power Network Deployment

All of the RJ45 copper interfaces in the HW-S6800-IT-4E2F-L2+ support 10/100/1000Mbps auto negotiation for optimal speed detection through RJ45 Category 6, 5 or 5e cables. The standard auto-MDI/MDI-X support can detect the type of connection to any Ethernet device without requiring special straight-through or crossover cables.

Flexibility and Extension Solution

The additional two mini-GBIC SFP slots built in the HW-S6800-IT-4E2F-L2+ support dual speed, 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP fiber-optic modules, meaning the administrator now can flexibly choose the suitable SFP transceiver according to not only the transmission distance but also the transmission speed required. The distance can be extended from 550 meters to 2km (multi-mode fiber) and to 20/40/60/100/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). They are well suited for applications within the enterprise data centers and distributions.
